Two area farms have a self picking farm. Grab your baskets and pick until your heart is content.
Calhoun:
Payne Farm (sign at the airport will point the way)
Monday through Saturday - 8:30 to 7:00
Sunday - 10:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Pricing:
Pick your own for $1.75 a pound or pick up already picked strawberries (NO fun in that!) for $2.75.
Rome:
LCCL Strawbery Farm

Rome, GA 30165
Mon - Sat: 8:30 am - 6:00 pm
Sun: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
$1.60 per pound for self pick and $2.50 per pound pre picked.
I am partial to the Rome location because they have the best strawberry ice cream ever!
We have not been since two summers ago! It is in the plans though - The kids loved it and you can take a picnic and enjoy the scenery.
